Care Ministry Group
The newly- formed Care Ministry Group will meet on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in Room 100. The mission of the Care Ministry is to provide “Emotional Support” by acts of friendship such as outings, telephone calls and mailing of greeting cards and notes; “Spiritual Support” through prayer and sharing thoughts and belief; “Practical Support” through providing transportation, helping with light chores or providing meals; “Physical Support” through education of health wellness information and programs or assisting individuals with educational material. If you feel you are being called to serve in this Ministry, please come out Thursday, May 8^th. 

Rite of Baptism
The next Rite of Baptism for Infants will be celebrated Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the 5:00 p.m. Vigil Mass. The Baptismal Preparation Class for parents and God-parents will be held Sunday, May 18, 2008 following the conclusion of the 11:00 a.m. Mass in Room 119. Please contact Deacon Lockett in the Church Office to schedule an appointment.

Literacy Project/Library Builder
Because reading is fundamental the Texas State Knights of Peter Claver Emerging Leader is asking us to join in their quest to spread the joy of reading to underprivileged youth in the communities of our state. Please help us by donating a book to this foundation for the future.  A box will be placed in the Church Gallery for the next two (2) Sundays.  Please limit books to easy reads and short novels for ages 2-14yrs (no coloring books please).

Seniors in Action
The Senior Adults in Action are in the process of working on their 2009 Calendars and are asking all St. Mary’s parishioners to sign-up.  Members from the Seniors will be in the Church Gallery beginning April 27^th after each Mass.  “Birthdays, Anniversaries and In Memory ads are only $5.  Full Page ad $100, Half Page $50, Quarter Page $35 and Business Card $25.

The St. Mary's Seniors in Action would like to invite all our parishioners to an Anointing Mass to be celebrated on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 10:00 AM.  There will be an informal reception immediately following the Mass in Room 100.

Sunday TV Mass For Homebound Catholics
Channel 51-KNWS (Channel 2 for Comcast subscribers) broadcasts the Celebration of the Mass every Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. Please share this information with our fellow parishioners who maybe sick and unable to attend our Sunday celebration.
